Tennessee Indictment # 02-08321
State of Tennessee v. A. M.

On April 12, 2002, A.M. was arrested on Interstate 40 in Memphis,
Tennessee. After being detained by officers and having his
vehicle illegally searched, officers confiscated over seventy
pounds of powder cocaine concealed between the trunk and the
gas tank of the vehicle. Upon arrest, the defendant faced
up to sixty years.
After conducting our own investigation, it was discovered
that the evidence against our client was not properly recorded
by law enforcement. As a result of this error, on October
6, 2003, our client walked out of court a free man.
Tennessee Indictment # 05-02378
State of Tennessee v. J. S.
Ross A. Sampson & Paul J. Springer Counsel of record for
J. S.
On July 25, 2005, the State of Tennessee filed a "Notice
of intent to seek the Death Penalty" on our client, J.
S. The State of Tennessee alleged that on or about December
11, 2004, our client murdered his life long friend, the former
Mr. W.
The State's basis for seeking the death penalty was on the
belief that our client killed Mr. W because he was providing
information to local law enforcement about a previous robbery,
allegedly committed by our client and the deceased.
The trial commenced on September 17, 2007. The jury received
the case for deliberation on September 21, 2007. On September
22, 2007, after a day deliberation, the jury found J.S. not
guilty. This charge has been expunged from our client's record.
He’s a free man, working in Memphis.
Tennessee Indictment # 06-01735
State of Tenneesse v. B.E. II
Ross A. Sampson, Counsel for B.E.
On September 17, 2005, B.E. II was arrested and charged with
Aggravated Robbery. The State of Tennessee alleged that our
client robbed several foreign nationals at a house in Memphis,
Tennessee.
The trial commenced on April 9, 2007. After deliberating for
a little over two hours, the jury found B.E. II not guilty.
This charge has been expunged from our client's record.
Tennessee Indictment # 06-09517
State of Tennessee v. J.J.
On January 29, 2003, our client J.J. was arrested for Attempted
1st Degree Murder, Theft of Property over 10,000.00 and faced
nearly eighty (80) years in prison if convicted.
After initially retaining another attorney for his case, our
office took his case to trial. The jury hung 7-5 on the attempted
murder charge in favor of the defense. On August 13, 2007,
J.J. entered a guilty plea to a greatly reduced charge. Later
that evening, J.J. walked out of jail a free man.
